Saint Albert du Pacherenc du Vic Bilh 2001
Wine; vintage: 2001; ABV: 13%;Wonderfully rich and intense bouquet of exotic fruits and citrus with a hint of honey, vanilla and sweet almonds. Luscious rich sweet flavour (fruit salad) with zingy acidity on the farewell without the cloying of many sweet wines. A great vintage and good alternative to Sauternes.

Plaimont
Producteurs Plaimont are located at Saint-Mont, in the Gers, in Gascony....
Some decades ago, passionate and enthusiastic vignerons decided to work together to reconstruct an old vineyard. This vineyard was to produce quality wines in order to assure the future of the vine in Gascony. They enlisted the best `terroirs` and plots ; they choose to use only traditional grape varieties from Gascony ; each year up to half of the young grapes are sacrificed so that the vine can feed the remaining grapes better. Grapes are harvested in the traditional method, manually, in order to keep only the ripest.
Winemaking
All Plaimont wines are made from traditional Gascony grapes :
- Tannat, Pinenc, Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon for red and rosé wines ;
- Arrufiac, Petit Courbu, Petit and Gros Manseng, Colombard, Ugni-Blanc and Listan for white wines.
